One Great Loss
Such a talent, you were special. Taken way too young, a mere 28. Gone from this earth too soon. So much to offer, you were just getting started. I am sure your best was yet to come, but how fortunate we are to have had the chance to witness your obvious gift, your craft. It was your calling. You will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Your spirit will live on in your movies. And we will celebrate your life by watching them.
Verse from the Lyrics of "Only the Good Die Young", Billy Joel:
They say there's a heaven for those who will wait,
Some say it's better but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners, than cry with the saints
the sinner's are much more fun...
You know only the good die young.

Horrible indeed. I keep thinking of Natalie Merchant's "River" for River Phoenix:

So sad. I loved the movie "Brokeback Mountain". Do you know what happened ? Drug overdose or suicide ?

Sognatrice~ Yes. It brings back those memories...not good ones by any means.
Lulu~ So very sad for his daughter that will never know her father, who from all accounts was wonderful with her.
Anne~ They are not thinking suicide. More like drug overdose. May have been a bad accidental mix of anti-anxiety meds and sleeping pills. The autopsy was inconclusive..so they should know more from the toxicology tests in 10-14 days.

Great actor, one of the best! He will be missed -a shame he won't get to see his daughter grow up -he seemed like a good dad. The new Joker role looks like it will be some of his best work.

An astonishing talent, who could virtually disappear into a role (i.e. Brokeback Mountain). Truly a great loss, not only to his family and friends, but to moviegoers who admired his great acting skill. Why do the good ones have to leave us so soon??!! Sigh.
